DOG TRAINING
Why training is good for you and your dog
No matter what age you start training your dog, basic foundation training provides a basis for you and your dog to form a life-long relationship. Training classes provide dog owners the skills and knowledge for dealing with common, normal dog behaviors—starting with puppy behaviors such as house-training and chewing. Training provides dogs with the basic good manners we all want—from polite greeting when guests arrive, to walking nicely on the leash, to coming when called.
A trained dog is a fully participating member of the family—the bond is established and the term “Man’s Best Friend” becomes a reality.
The Grateful Dog is proud to be a partner with the Marin Humane Society for our training program.
We are currently offering two classes:
Beginning Puppy – Our popular Beginning Puppy class starts your puppy off with beginning socialization, management, handling and manners. This class is for puppies 10-16 weeks old and is a 6-week course. At least 2 sets of shots are required. Cost is $190.
Family Dog 1 – This basic obedience class teaches the fundamentals of good manners - sit, down, stay, come, polite greetings and walking, wait at doors, and leave it. This class is for dogs 4 months and older and is a 6-week course. Cost is $190.
